CURD
In memory of Mrs. Maggie Curd, whose earthly life was peacefully closed, at noon, Wednesday Oct 5th. Through many weary days and weeks she struggled with the fatal disease, consumption but, like a true Christian woman, bore her affliction with heroic submission. She was a member of the Baptist church from which place her funeral services were held the following afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. F. Williams. She was born November 18th, 1868, and her removal by death leaves an aching void in the hearts of her husband and five motherless little children whom she loved with devotion. We commend them to God, who loveth, all, especially those whom he chastiteth, and many they seek consolation through words of his grace. The deepest sympathy is extended to her friends and surviving family and to them we would say:
Do not grieve for the absent loved one,
‘Though her journey on earth is no more;
She passed through the dark night of sorrow,
Across to the bright golden shore,
She answered the call of her Father,
"Who doeth all things for the best"
She safely crossed over death's river,
And found with her Savior, "Sweet rest."
