HOPPER
The funeral of Mrs. J. N. Hopper was conducted by the Rev. W. D. Moore, of Anderson county yesterday afternoon at the family residence on the Lexington road. Burial was in Spring Hill cemetery. Mrs. Hopper, 74 years of age, died Wednesday, April 18, 1934 at 1 p.m. after only a few days illness.
She was a native of Mercer county and the daughter of Aaron and Martha Ann Jenkins Burchell, and was a splendid woman liked by everyone. She is survived by her husband, two children, Mrs. Florence Funk, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and John Curd, Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, Winfred Dunaway, Charles Funk, Murfreesboro; Charles Curd, J. F. Curd and Mattie Curd, also two great-grandchildren, Billie Dunaway, and Charles Albert Curd, two brothers, Robert Burchell, Lexington and Abe Burchell, Mercer county.
