"DEATH OF ROBERT M. MIZE

Robert M. Mize, brother of the publishers of THE NEWTON COUNTY NEWS, died in Chicago, Illinois, March 24th, 1891, aged twenty nine years.

He was a young man of exemplary character, bright, intelligent, a general favorite with everyone and a successful business man. He was formerly the publisher of several different papers in Illinois, and won considerable fame as a newspaper paragrapher.

At the time of his death the Mize brothers were engaged in the real estate and newspaper brokerage business in Chicago and New York, Robert Mize having charge of the office in New York. He came to Newtonia last August and established THE NEWTON COUNTY NEWS for his sisters. After remaining with them a few months he went to New York city, where he remained during the winter.

A short time before his death he went to Chicago. He was ill but a few, short days and passed away, peacefully falling asleep. Everything in the way of medical skill was done for him, and he was tenderly cared for by his two brothers, W. J. Mize and G. W. Mize.

His remains arrived at Newtonia on Thursday and were taken to his father's residence, when after a short service by Rev. T. L. Largen they were taken to the Newtonia cemetery, followed by a large and sympathizing concourse of people, and interred by the side of his mother, who died three years ago.

Robert Mize leaves a father, four brothers and four sisters. His death is a sad blow to the whole family, who so tenderly care for each other. He was idolized by his sisters and greatly loved by his father and brothers. Time with all its healing powers can never entirely cure the heart ache of those left behind, nor weld together the gap that death has left in the family circle, but, perhaps, some day the future veil will be lifted and the bereaved ones will see and know that all has been for the best.

G.W. Mize, who accompanied the remains of his brother, Robert M. Mize, to Newtonia, returned to Chicago on Saturday. His wife and two children will remain in Newtonia with relatives for some time."

On the day Robert's obituary was published, the Mize sisters wrote, "There was no issue of THE NEWS last week owing to the death of Robert MIZE, brother of the publishers. That no loss may be sustained by the subscribers, and advertisers the time of each will be extended a week longer."
