Invitations on the tiny pink cards were sent to all the little girls in Newtonia of the ages of Miss Milly and Miss Grace, ten and twelves years. The party consisted on nineteen in number. The little girls enjoyed quite a nice evening. A spider web of thread was woven throughout the rooms and each one was required to find the end of the thread; many of the threads were interwoven and it was fun to them to untie the tangles. At the end of each thread was found a bag of peanuts. One room was darkened and a magic lantern entertained them for a time. There were other amusing games. Refreshments of cake and lemonade were served, and each little guest wore home a souvenir of a peanut all tied with pink baby ribbon.
