Mr. Sade was born in KY, on the 29th day of August 1819, and lived to the ripe old age of 96 yrs, 6 mos. and five dys. At the age of 6 yrs, his father died and when at the age at 16 he with his family emigrated to Jackson Co. IA. when there were less than a hundred population in the county, providing himself to be one of the pioneers of that county. At the age of 28 he married to Miss Phoeba Conklin, and to this union there was born three boys and one girl. The dau. whose name was Mary Lucretia, died 30 Jun 1899. His wife, preceded him in death 10th Feb. 1910, after which he made his home with his youngest son, Franklin P. Sade, who just died 9th Feb. last.
Mr. Sade was a find old Christian gentleman, having given himself to God some 60 yrs ago and was a faithful follower of the Lowly Nazarene, even preaching the word of God. His life was a long and useful one, and he was indeed a kind and indulgent father, a most dutiful husband and an exceptionally noble character and his passing away has left a cloud of sadness over the whole community which will not soon be lifted and many friends join in extending the tenderest sympathy it these sad hours to the bereaved one who are left behind.
