Phoebe Sade, b. 23 Jun 1830, OH - "Died at her home about five north west of the city of Ava, in Douglas county, Missouri, at about 11:30 on the 10th day of Feb. 1910, Mrs. Phebe Sade, wife of Thomas Sade, after an illness of about a years duration. Phebe was born in the state of Ohio in the year 1830, and was married to Mr. Sade in Jackson county in the year 1848. She was a mother of three boys and one girl, and at the time of her death there were thirty one grand children and twenty one great grand children. She died at the age of seventy-nine years four months and thirteen days, she was always a dutiful loving wife and mother and ever trying in some way to make others happy, she patiently bore the burdens of lie and in religious belief was an Adventist Christian, believing in the second coming of Christ the resurrection of the dead, and a future life where there would be no sickness, sorrow, pain nor death. Mother is now at rest and let us all wish that her hopes may be realized. The Rev. Curry made a short prayer and short address at the cemetery." - Info: Douglas Co. Herald, Ava, Mo, 24 Feb. 1910-
