Mrs. Elsie M. Minich, 88, of Pine Hill Estates, Brookville, died Sunday in Brookville Hospital. She was the sister of an Oil City man.

Born Jan 2, 1898, in Punxsutawney, she was a daughter of Henry and Alice Pence Ruth.

She married Charles A. Minich Oct. 11, 1918, in Jefferson County, PA. He died in 1955.

Mrs. Minich was a homemaker, a member of First United Methodist church in Clarion. She formerly resided in Clarion, moving to Brookville three years ago.

Survivors include a son, Chester Minich of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Doris) Kutz of Brookville; a brother, Charles Ruth of Oil City; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four stepchildren, Mrs. Roy (Gazel) Brown of Enon, Ohio, Mrs. Charles (Rebecca) Martin of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Wallace (Ethel) Thompson and Albert Minich, both of Brookville.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Clair Minich.

The Goble Funeral Home in Clarion is in charge of arrangements.
