He flew with the 372nd Bomber Squadron and the crew went down on 25 Oct 1943 when the bomber went down due to structural failure, violent maneuvering to avoid a mid air collision with other aircraft in the formation. All ten crew members aboard were Missing in Action. He is memorialized at Fort William McKinley, Manila, The Philippines along with the rest of the crew members. At the time of his death he was a First Lieutenant.
Kenneth was awarded the Purple Heart Medal, The Air Medal, and additional Army Awards for his service to his country.
