World War II Army Enlistment Record indicated year of birth 1915, native of West Virginia. Enlistment Date 1 Apr 1942 at Fort Thomas Newport, Kentucky. Grammar school, height 72, weight 171.

1930 US Federal Census shows Raymond Winebrenner born in West Va. abt 1916, son of John W. and Mary J. Winebrenner.

1940 US Federal Census shows a Raymond Winebrenner, age 24, born abt 1916 in West Va. living in South Grove, Dekalb, IL as a a Farm Laborer working 50 hr. week. Elementary school, 8th grade.

Concerning the grave of a soldier in Normandy American death in 1944 Raymond Winebrener of Letart.
