FORT MYERS NEWS-PRESS, January 4, 1961 - Vaughn Gillespie, 70, a resident of 1524 Barcelona Avenue, died last night. He was owner of the Lee County Metal and Roofing Co. and had lived here for the past 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son Donald of Naples; a sister, Mrs.Ellen ( Eugene )Shaffer of Punxsutawney, Pa. Funeral arrangements will be in charge of Leo W. Engelhardt.

Pallbearers will be Louis Kennedy, Jesse Hires, Clyde Bibbee, Daniel Mayfield, Jesse Luckey and David Pendelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Ball, Ralph Ball, Frank Carson, Brown Austin, John Woolslair and Dr. Frank Bryan. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
