Funeral services will be held in Punxsutawney tomorrow for Mrs. Ellen Shaffer, 70, of Beyer Avenue, who died Monday in the Adrian Hospital.
Services will be held in the Pifer Funeral Home,The Rev. John C. Cogley will officiate and interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Shaffer was born November 24, 1900[1899] in Rural Valley, a daughter of George W. & Sara Coon Gillespie. She was united in marriage with Eugene M. Shaffer June 21, 1920.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had resided in the Punx'y area most of her life.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Eugene G. Shaffer, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and a grandson who she raised, Richard A. Shaffer, of Sharon.
