DEATH OF PIONEER

Pierre Sancartier Passed Away Yesterday morning.

Pierre Sancartier, one of the pioneer residents of the city, passed away at his home Wednesday morning at about nine o'clock. Mr. Sancartier was seventy-eight years old and had been a resident of Red Lake county for many years. For a long time he lived on a farm in the Badger creek country and for the past few years he had lived in this city.

He is survived by his widow and nine children, five sons and four daughters, besides other relatives. The sons are Joseph, Peter, Maxim, William and Cash, of whom the last two named live in the city. The daughters are Mrs. Bruno Toutant of Bemidji and Mrs. George Moquin, Mrs. Edward Bedard and Miss Sancartier of this city.

Funeral services will be held at ten o'clock Friday morning at St. Joseph's church of which deceased was a member.
