son of Ernest and Rose Banner Geosling was killed in action in France, Aug. 12, 1944. He had been in service since Dec. 2, 1941 and overseas since Nov. 1942. He took part in the North African, Sicilian and Italian invasions.
His body, evidently, wasn't returned to the U.S., and is buried somewhere in France.
