Mrs. Clara Effie McCALL, 96, Rochester, died at 12:55 a.m. today at Woodlawn hospital, shortly after her admission. Mrs. McCall had been ill for about one week. She had spent her entire life in Rochester and Fulton county. Born Jan. 23, 1867, near Green Oak, she was the daughter of Isaiah and Ann (PEARSON) BACON. Her first marriage was to George COLLINS July 3, 1885. He died in 1924. Her second marriage was Sept. 11, 1952 to Walter J. McCALL, who died in 1960. She was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L. G. (Gertrude) MILLER and Mrs. Murrel (Ethel) REAM, both of Rochester, and Mrs. Roy (Lucy) HATTERY, South Bend; a sister, Mrs. George (Nellie) BAKER, Macy; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. William SIMPSON officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
