Albert was my Great-Grandfather.

He was the second of nine children born to David Starkey Bond and Mary Elizabeth Butler.

He married Nannie Malinda Neel/Neal on 20 Jan 1897, in Council Grove, Morris Co., KS.

Their children together were:

Violet Mae
Orville Starkey
Marven Leroy

Albert was a very kind person who loved his family very much. I never saw him angry and I never heard him raise his voice. He was forgiving of others' shortcomings and never said an unkind word about or to anyone. If he said something that was not flattering, it was because that was the truth and he did not lie at any time or for any reason. He did have his limits and if you lost his trust, he would give you a very wide berth and you, more than likely, would not regain his trust again. He was as patient as the day is long. In fact, he was extremely well respected and well liked by all who knew him.
Memories from granddaughter Bobbie Bond Chiles.
