Carlene Hobgood Stailey was one of three daughters of James Carl Hobgood and Thelma Minnie Lee Newman Hobgood Rushing (1913-1994).

Ruby Marie Hobgood Young (1931-2007)

Myrtie Lorene "Lorene" Hobgood Pendergrass (1934-1973)
m1. Robert Herman Hamilton
m2. Jervis Doyle (J.D.) Pendergrass

She met & married Willie Mart Stailey in the early 1950s. They had six children:

Son - David
Dau - Connie Marie
Dau - Anita Gayle
Son - Martin Jay (twin)
Dau - Cynthia Kay (twin)
Son - Jerry Lynn

Carlene was killed in a tragic car accident. Three of her children were adopted by Ruby and Charles Young.

She was a beautiful lady. I wish I could've known her.
