Audrey Mae (Whittenburg) Spriggs, 82, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 4, 2005. Funeral services were conducted Aug. 7 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Lynn Tollett officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Spriggs was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Byrdstown, TN, the daughter of Ada Mae (Neal) and A.C. Whittenburg.
She retired from Carter's Ink where she was a production worker.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Spriggs) Ashburn of Crossville; sons, Larry Spriggs of Atlanta, GA, Leland Spriggs Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Jim Spriggs of Crossville and David Spriggs of Crossville; brothers, Paul Whittenburg of Crossville, Glenn Whittenburg of Crossville, Floyd Whittenburg of Nashville, Bob Whittenburg of Auburn, AL and J.D. Whittenburg of Crossville; sisters, Wanda Whittenburg, Shirley Stewart, Christine Thompson and Dorothy Neal, all of Crossville; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Spriggs Sr.; sisters, Baby Girl Whittenburg, Orth Bumbalough and Jean Chastain; and brother, Lloyd Whittenburg.
Pallbearers were Scott McCormick, Robert Ashburn, Jimmy Spriggs, Jared Spriggs, Joe Spriggs and Ryan Spriggs.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
