Accidental Injuriees

Funeral Rites To Be Held
At 9:30 A.M. Wednesday

W.T. Drew, prominent Minden attorney succumbed at 3:45 Tuesday morning, July 29 (today) to injuries sustained Sunday at about 8 p.m., when struck by an automobile while attempting to cross a street.

Funeral rites will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday from the Dennis chapel, with the Rev. W.F. O'Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Minden cemetery.

Those who will serve as pallbearers are Jack Perryman, Cecil Campbell, John Mims, James Baird, Tom Fort, Bill Bullock, Levi Grigsby and Ed Brown.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. W.T. Drew, one son, Cahill Drew; three brothers, Judge Harmon C. Drew of Minden; Judge Allen S. Drew, Minden; R.R. Drew of Bossier City and a sister, Miss Mary Drew of Minden.

A brother, Judge Allen drew will be unable to attend the funeral services due to the fact that he is vacationing in the Pacific Northwest. Relatives had been unable to contact him up to noon today.

Mr. drew has been practicing law here the past five or six years. Prior to that time he devoted his time to civil engineering for 20 years. He received his engineering degree from L.S.U.

The accident occurred on South Broadway wile the attorney was attempting to cross the street from the south side at a point across from the courthouse. He was struck by a car driven by Pat Almond, 19, son of Fate Almond of this city. Mr. Drew is said to have been knocked several feet by the impact, both legs being broken below the knees, and causing head and internal injuries. He is said to have never regained consciousness.
