Hobert B. "Buster" Wyman, 97, of Rueter, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center in Forsyth.
He was born on March 30, 1913 at Rueter, the son of Henry and Mary Wyman. Buster was a lifelong resident of Taney County. He worked on the construction of the Powersite Dam. Along with supporting the community to build churches and schools, Buster was a good neighbor and friend.
Survivors include his children, Elwood Wyman and wife, Frances, of Rueter, Delene Brightwell and husband, Donnie, of Protem, and Dennis Wyman and wife, Janice, of Rueter, a sister, Gertie Clifton of Kansas City, Kan., 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Alice Wyman, children, Bernard Wyman, Henrietta Marler, and infant son, Martin Wyman, siblings, Pearl Bell, Walsie Wyman, Dee Wyman, Virgie Brumfield, Anna Hankins, Hardy Wyman, Roxie Wyman, and John Wyman.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the North Star Church at Rueter. Burial will be at the Wyman Cemetery at Rueter. Arrangements were under the direction of Forsyth Whelchel Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Wyman Cemetery.
