World War I Red Cross Nurse. A native of Minnesota, she served at the 35th United States Army Base Hospital, and died during her service in France. When Esther heard her beloved George Arthur Overton had died in battle during WWI she wrote a letter to him. The letter was saved by family until 2013 when thanks to findagrave.com, the letter was added to his page #12044346. It is felt he finally received the letter.
100 years after her death Esther is remembered and honored.
