Quitman Mims Fant, age 74, of Woodland, died Wednesday, September 1, 1993 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral services were held Friday, September 3 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Comer officiating assited by Rev. Jack Inman. Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The son of the late Abner Elkin Fant, Sr. and the late Margie Dillard Beckham Fant, he was a lifelong resident of Woodland. He was retried after 31 years as a bus driver for Gulf Transport and was a member of Woodland Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife the late Margaret Wall Fant who passed away January 1, 1976.

Survivors include one son, Jim Fant of Liberty, TX; one sister,Nevella Vines of Olive Branch; one brother, Wes Fant of Meridian; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
