His parents were Zéphirin Perrault (born on July 16, 1838, baptized the same day, at St-Stanislas, Co. Champlain, Quebec) and Philomène Labissonnière (born on Feb 19, 1845, baptized on the 20th at Batiscan, Parish St-Francois-Xavier, Quebec). They were married 28 November 1865 in Ste Croix, Lafontaine, Simcoe Co., Ontario.

His paternal Grandparents were Charles Perrault and Julie Frenette; his maternal Grandparents were Francois Labissonnière and Victoire Machelidon.
