Sallie Unknown b. 1809 exactly where, unknown. The census show mostly NC. She is first found with husband Marshall Osborne on 1840 Patrick Co., VA census. After that the Osborne family was in NC. The counties changed over the years so they were listed in Surry, and Davie for different census.

There are three missing surnamed family members in Marshall's tree. His great grandmother Rebecca Unknown on his Osborne side - his mother UnNamed Unknown and his wife Sallie Unknown.

DNA is telling us that one of these three missing named females is descending from Thomas and Mary Goodlaw Goatley Osborn through their son Stephen as married to Sarah Stanborough. “Only descendants of Thomas and Mary's son Stephen have the same YDNA (value of 12 for Allele 391) as all of the Osborne's that match via Sally's line (as far as I have found to date anyway). The connection between Thomas and Mary has to go through their son, Stephen!” - Carlton Osburn

Marshall 's Y-DNA is of the Group#11 as desginated by the Osborne Origins. Thoms and Mary Osborn are of Group #4 which can beviewed: https://www.osborne-origins.org/ though it is no longer updated but the work done years ago has stood the test of DNA for the most part.

There are many DNA matches to Ephraim and Elizabeth Howard Osborne descendants and also Caleb and Hannah Howard Osborne descendants. But there could be two to three generations missing to link either of these (thought to be brothers) back to Thomas and Mary through their son Stephen.

There are many DNA matcv hes to Boone but no proven link at this point.

Sallie moved to Charlotte, NC after her husband died between 1870 and 1876. She is found for the 1880 census but died before the 1900 census as her daughters, Sallie and Victoria, who always lived with her were found on the 1900 census in a household headed by the daughter, Sallie.

No headstone is found.
