James Bart Davis, 69, of Clinton, died Sunday, March 18, 2001. Mr. Davis was a resident of Clinton and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was the son of Charles and Riley Starnes Davis, who are deceased. His wife, Sally Ann Davis, also died earlier.

Mr. Davis is survived by his daughters, Shannon Morgan and her husband, Timothy, of Oliver Springs and Kathy Schroeder and her husband, David, of Nicholasville, Ky.; his sons, Michael Davis and his wife, Sarah, of Litchfield, Ill., John Davis and his wife, Sandy, of Lake City and Randy Davis and his wife, Linda of Clinton; his sister, Stella Brotherton of Kingsport; and by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Mary Stephens of Knoxville was considered a special friend.

The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, March 19, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
