Martha was the oldest sister and sibling of Luther Lowe Williams. She was the only one who remained in Illinois. The rest of her family all moved to the North West - most to the Lewiston, ID area. One died in Seattle, one in Oregon.
Martha did live in Lewiston, Nez Perce Co., Idaho in 1940.
Died: 02 Sep 1948 age 93 years, 5 months, 6 days in Lawrenceville, Lawrence County, Illinois.
Note: Death date written in handwriting of her sister Ella in the Bible of her mother Elizabeth Luther Williams
Note: Lawrenceville is about an hour and a half away from Norris City and has a hospital. Assumption is that she was still living in Norris City, White County, Illinois.
Buried: after 02 Sep 1948 in IL (probably with Minton.)
Sharon Lemkuil believes she may actually be buried in Palestine Cemetery #2, Cottonwood, Gallatin Co., IL with her husband Minton Duty, but that no one paid to have her death date inscribed onto the stone. She outlived her daughter (only child) and was far away from any living siblings when she died. She had one grandson who probably took care of arrangements, she probably left instructions to be buried with her husband.
Note: Her husband and only child Grace both pre-deceased her in Illinois.
