AUGUST W. BARTZ
August W. Bartz, 77, died after a weeks illness yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Pingel, town of Rockland, Manitowoc County.
He was born in Germany and came to America in 1864. He farmed in the vicinity of Brillion his entire life.
Survivors are one son, Adolph, two of Rockland; four daughters, Mrs. Pingel, Mrs. Albert Reimer and Mrs. John Mahnke, town of Rockland, Mrs. Herbert Brandenburg, Rantoul; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Pingel home and at the Rantoul Evangelical church with the Rev. A. H. Nickell, Brillion in charge. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
