Frances Sue Cowsert, 63, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, of injuries sustained in an auto accident on U.S. 20 in rural Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
Sue was born Saturday, Sept. 30, 1939, in Ava, the daughter of Harold V. and Mary A. (Manor) Carruthers. She married William L. Cowsert on Oct. 15, 1960, in Murphysboro. The couple moved to Elizabeth in 1972.
She graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1957.
Sue worked at the Jo Daviess County Health Department in Galena in the Home Health Care Dept.
She was involved in the Lions club, Northern Illinois Republican Women, Jo Daviess County Home Extension and was a former 4-H leader.
