Ardyth E. Strine, 81, Effingham, died Saturday morning at the Horton Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at O'trimble Funeral home.
Miss Strine was born March 8. 1906, in the Monrovia community, the daughter of Harry and Roxie Parker Strine.
She taught at Monrovia and Noffsinger school and in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She worked in the fiscal office of the Welfare Department in the Atchison County Courthouse for 30years, retiring in 1970.
Miss Strine was a member of the Effingham Community Church and a women's circle of the church. She was a former treasurer of the Effingham Methodist Church.
Her enjoyments in life were fishing and baseball.
Surviving are a sister, Beulah Moman, Horton, and three nephews.
