David K. Craig, 52, of Bloomington, formerly of Madison, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in Bloomington.

He was born Oct. 20, 1957, in Madison, the son of Clarence Delbert and Alpha May Layton Hamilton. He was raised in Madison and attended Madison Consolidated High School. He completed his studies in care giving and became a certified caregiver. He had previously worked as a security guard at Indiana Kentucky Electric Corporation and Belterra Casino and Resort. He also had worked in security in Louisville, Ky. while residing there. He had resided the past six months in Bloomington. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading and studying God's word. He served in the National Guard.

He is survived by two sons, Joshua Keith Craig and Michael Hutchinson both of Madison; one daughter, Lacey Craig of Carrollton, Ky.; his parents of Madison; two brothers, Paul Craig of Dupont and Delbert Hamilton of Milton, Ky.; two sisters, Alfrieda Kay Reynolds and Cynthia Dawn Kietzman both of Madison; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Elfrieda Hunter Layton, Ned and Sophia Hamilton and Onnie Layton; and his twin grandchildren.

The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
