Funeral services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home Galliano, for Julian (Cox) Lafont Sr., 58, a native and resident of Golden, Meadow who died Wednesday in Marrero.
Religious services are scheduled to follow at Agape Fellowship Church in Cut Off, with interment in Cheramie Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 a.m. Saturday until funeral time.
He was the husband of Genevieve Boudreaux Lafont; father of Julian Lafont Jr., Mrs. Christine Pitre, Mrs. Rosalie Blackwell, Mrs. Angela LeBlanc and Mrs. Anna Nugent; brother of Adam and Edward Lafont, Felonise Eymard, Elise Arabie, Adela Pierce, Julia Picou, Genevieve Pitre and the late Hubert, Ramis, John Jr., Anatole, Raymond and Gustave Lafont.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
