Obituary: Morley Jones, 101, beloved father, grandfather, brother, died May 20, 1993.
Born October 30, 1891 in Maeser, Utah, to Isaac M. Jones and Elizabeth Ann Starkie Jones. He married Ada Morrill, June 1916, in the Manti Temple; she preceded him in death, February 6, 1935. Morley was a delight to listen to, his memory was very vivid. At age 96 he wrote and published a book. He was an active High Priest in the LDS Church. Morley completed 12 years of school and had occupations during his life time including carpenter, electrician, sawmill operator. He served a mission to the Hawaiian Islands, and was a staunch supporter of the Book of Mormon program, receiving commendation from the LDS Church for his support of this program.
Morley is the father of seven children, four preceded him in death. He is survived by sons, Elvin Jones (Pearl), American Fork; Myron Jones (Faye), Murray; daughter, Clella Jones Hepworth (Keith), Orderville; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert Jones, Springdale; Howard Jones, Richfield; sister, Olive Weyerman, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, 1993 at 11 a.m., at the Murray Third Ward, 4600 Brown Street. Friends may call Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State and one hour prior to the service at the ward. Interment: Maeser, Utah.
