Funeral services for Neva Burton Ashby were conducted at the Maeser Stake Center, 2745 West 1000 North, Saturday, May 13, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Gaylynn Oaks officiating.
Family prayer was given by Uncle Dee Jenkins and prelude music was played by Becky Bazell followed by the invocation given by Uncle Phillip Hall and remarks by Bishop Gaylynn Oaks. A musical number "Wonderful Mother of Mine" was given by Dorothy Luck and Dawn DeJournette accompanied by Tex Ross.
Lorin "Pudge" Merkley spoke and Duane Hall performed a musical number "Waltz Across Texas." Leland NcNeill spoke. A musical number "Could I Have This Dance" by Dorothy Luck and Daun DeJournette accompanied by Tex Ross followed.
Ivan Hall gave the benediction. Graveside services were at the Rock Point Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted by Rebekah Lodge #23.
Pallbearers were grandsons, great-grandsons and family friends: M.M. Curtis Piantes USN, Clyde Ashby Jr., Gary Richarson, Mikel C. Murphy Jr., Terry Stultz and Merlin Sinfield.
