Anna Laura Wright was born January 7, 1889, to Franklin and Isabelle Wright at Branden, South Dakota, and died at the Rock County Hospital in Bassett, Nebraska, March 30, 1977, at the age of 88 years.

She received her schooling in the Pine Camp and Iowa Flats areas of Keya Paha County, Nebraska.

She was united in marriage to Fred W. Carr May 15, 1910, and to them three children were born. With the exception of a short time in Springview, they lived all their married life on the homestead southeast of Springview until they retired and moved back to town in 1968.

She loved gardening and flowers and was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a long-time member of the Methodist Church and loved her church work, having been a Sunday school teacher for many years in the country and also in town.

Survivors include her three children, Mrs. Lawrence (Audrey) Gibson, Armand Carr, and Mrs. Lois Philben all of Springview; eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons; one brother, Harry Wright, Montana Veterans Home and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother.
