Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 10:30 a. m. at the United Methodist Church in Springview for Audrey (Mrs. Lawrence) Gibson. Mrs. Gibson, 80, passed away Sunday, June 21 at the Brown County Hospital. Burial will be at Mr. Hope Cemetery.

AUDREY B. GIBSON
Audrey Belle Carr was born February 16, 1912 to Fred W. and Anna L. (Wright) Carr in Springview, Nebraska. She passed away June 21, 1992 at Ainsworth, Nebraska at the age of 80 years, four months, and five days. Audrey was a lifetime resident of Keya Paha County, where she received her education. She was united in marriage to Lawrence B. Gibson on July 17, 1930 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. To this union four children were born. Audrey worked as a Postal Clerk in Springview for 23 years, until she retired in 1975. She was a member of the Springview United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed music, sewing, traveling, reading, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; daughter, Shirley and husband, Gerald Gortemaker of Oshkosh, Nebraska, Ruth and husband, William L Most of Broomfield, Colorado, Joan and husband, John C. Bogut, SR. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one son, Lonnie C. Gibson of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a brothher, Armand Carr of Springview; sister, Lois E. Vawser of Bassett, Nebraska; eight nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 25, 1992 at the United Methodist Church in Springview. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery at Springview. REV. Nita Gelling cloran officated the services. Music was furnished by Doris Weddel Olson, Marilyn Baker and Marilyn Nelson. Active Casketbearers were grandsons: Robert Most, james Gotemaker, Jon Most, Gary Gortemaker, Richard Ruch III, and Craig Stephens. Honorary Casketbearers were: John Bogut, JR., Harley Carr, Donald Philben, Lance Philben, Harold Gibson, Merle Gibson, and Larry Gibson. memorials were made to the American Cancer Society or to the new community Recreation Area. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hock Funeral Home in Ainsworth.
