Arthur Batzka, son of Robert Batzka, and Miss Beatrice Mikesell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mikesell of Monticello, IN., were united in marriage at the home of Rev. Donald Freeman in Freeman, IA., on October 18, 1938. Both young people were employed in Winamac, IN., where they will make their home following a honeymoon trip through the Black Hills of South Dakota. The heartiest congratulations of this community go forth to Arthur and wife.

- Services for Arthur P. Batzka, 84, of 505 Washington St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Miller-Voort Funeral Home.
He died at 6 a.m. Sunday in his home.
He was born January 1, 1904, in San Pierre. He was married in 1938 to Beatrice Mikesell, who died August 2, 1960.
He came to Monticello in 1946 from San Pierre. He also had lived in Winamac for several years.
He retired in 1969 with more than 25 years of service with RCA in Monticello.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen A., North Manchester and David L., Jacksonville, Fla., two sisters, Lillian Hamay, Mesa, Ariz., and Ruth Douglas, LaCrosse; and two grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
The Rev. Don Arterburn will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
