BRITTON - Velma Mae, 91, Northern Cambria, died Oct. 7, 2005, at home. Born Sept. 13, 1914, in Barnesboro R.D., daughter of Norris and Elsie (Bowers) Trout. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frederick B., in 1992; brothers, Kenneth, Alton, Raymond and Richard Trout; sister, Grace States; great-great-granddaughter, Nicole Weakland; and son-in-law, Larry Somerville. Survived by children, Thomas, married to former Verda Krise, and Jay, married to former Janet Buterbaugh, both of Northern Cambria; and Janet Somerville, Cherry Tree; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Edward Trout, Cleveland. Retired LPN from Mercy Hospital. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with John McDonald officiating.
