Obituary

Ed Trout grew up on a beautiful farm near Barnesboro, PA., in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. This is where he learned to hunt and fish. It's where his great love and respect of nature was cultivated. It's where he learned and adopted the work ethic that would make him successful at anything he put his hand to. He would get up at the crack of dawn to feed chickens, hogs, and milk cows, after which he would walk two miles to the small schoolhouse where he started his education. In this small town is also where he met the lovely Nancy and after joining the Air Force took her away to marry him and start a family. After leaving the Air Force, Nancy & Ed settled in Cleveland where they raised their three children. Ed enjoyed a successful career at General Electric from where he retired after 36 years. Sadly, his love Nancy died suddenly in 1991. He later re-married. Known for his quick humor, a sharp mind, his unsurpassed driving skills, and his large, generous heart. He is survived by his wife Marion (nee Petti), his children Jeannette Perchan (Tom), Lori DiCesare (Norman) and Doug (Mandy Basel), devoted grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 9; dear brother of 6. The family would like to give special thanks to Ed's longtime caregiver Hyacinth Tomlinson. The family suggests contributions to The Julie Billiart School 4982 Clubside Rd, Cleveland, OH 44124 or to The Mary Mavec Opportunity School of Euclid Inc. 21701 Lake Shore Boulevard Euclid, Ohio 44123. Memorial service 5:30 pm Sunday August 21 at The Dicicco and Sons Funeral Home 5975 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Hts. where the family will receive friends 2pm until time of service.
