BRIEF ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. DANIEL TEETER
Rites This Afternoon For Wabash Tp. Woman, 46
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Missionary Church for Mrs. Lena Teeter, 46, wife of Daniel Teeter of Berne Route 2, who died at 6:35 p.m. Friday following a brief illness.
The Rev. J. J. Klopfenstein, pastor of the church, officiated and burial was in the M.R. E. Cemetery.
Mrs. Teeter died at her home 2 ½ miles east of Berne along State Highway 118. Her untimely death came as a great shock to her family and a host of friends. She was shopping in Berne on Thursday but was suffering with a cold. Her condition became worse Friday morning and grave a short time before she died. However, it was not thought that she was critically ill until late Friday. Death was attributed to lobar pneumonia.
The Wabash Township woman was a lifelong resident of this community. She was born October 12, 1907, in Wabash Township, a daughter of John and Jennie Cook. In 1935 she was married to Daniel P. Teeter.
Surviving are the husband; a son, Paul, and a daughter, Ruth, both at home and a brother, Ernest Cook, Fresno, California, who visited here a few weeks ago.
The body was removed to the church from the Yager Funeral Home for the service today.
