Negley – December 5, 2007 – Ruth E. Mackall, 83, of 50462 Front Street, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at Essex Nursing Center #1 of Salem.
Mrs. Mackall was born October 3, 1924 in Negley, a daughter of Harry and Agnes Knight Crowl and had lived in this area all of her life. She had been employed as fruit grader at Peace Valley Orchard for several years. She had also worked at the former Adamson Tank Company in East Palestine.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Edward P. Mackall; five daughters, Mrs. Everett (Bonnie) Maynard of Negley, Mrs. Robert (Virginia) Guy of Texas, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Stollenwerk, Sr. of East Liverpool, Ms. Agnes Davidson of Negley and Ms. Robin Parker of Negley; a son, Allen Mackall of Negley; three sisters, Ms. Patty Huff of Rogers, Ms. Charlotte Murphy of East Palestine, and Ms. Alberta Soldo of East Palestine; three brothers, Neil Crowl of Lisbon, Robert Crowl of Rogers, and Harry Crowl, Jr. of East Palestine; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
