Norwood Thomas Graveside Rites Set In Vernal

Graveside services for Norwood Washington Thomas, 76, Taylorsville, former Vernal resident will be conducted Saturday at 2 p m in Maeser Fairview Cemetery. He died Wednesday in a Salt Lake hospital.

He was born june 19 1882 in Spanish Fork. He was married to Chloe Agnes Hislop January 25, 1905 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died in Vernal in 1919.

Mr. Thomas came to Vernal in 1887. He moved to Salt Lake in 1920. He married Annie Ruppe Barker July 27, 1930 in Nephi. He was a construction worker and at the time of death was a high priest in Taylorsville Ward.

Survivors include his widow, Taylorsville; six sons and daughters Rupert M., Jay N., Mrs Gilbert (Beulah) Willbur, Salt Lake City; Keith W., Sacramento California; Francis 0., Ely, Nevada and Mrs Ralph (Mazie) Sansom, Richland, Washington and five stepchildren, 23 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Lucy Timothy, Sandy, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in Taylorville Ward. Friend may call at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road Friday evening and Saturday morning prior to services.
