Funeral services for Oscar H. Anderson who grew to manhood on a farm east of Osceola were held Friday, September 20 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The son of Anton and Anna Anderson, he was born at Weston, Nebraska December 28, 1893. He passed to his eternal reward at the hospital in Osceola on September 17 at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 19 days.

When he was four years of age his family moved to Osceola where he attended grade school. Later he was graduated from Luther College at Wahoo.

In 1909 he was confirmed in the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Osceola of which he was a member. He also had membership in the Osceola Lodge #65.

On June 19, 1926 he was married to Lenora Nichols at Seattle, Washington. Always interested in the business, Mr. Anderson worked in an Osceola grocery store for a short time after which he moved to Seattle where he was a manager of a grocery chain store for a number of years. Later he returned to Nebraska, residing in Norfolk and Osceola. He retired from business in 1957.

Surviving and greatly missing him are his wife, Lenore; three brothers, Albert and John of Osceola and Wilmer of Stromsborg; sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Emma) Nyquist, Mrs. Andrew (Selma) Peterson, Mrs. Nick (Mary) Gerdes of Osceola and Mrs. Lewis (Hilma) Hemnann of Hayward, California, also numerous nieces and nephews with whom he shared so much joy, other relatives and a host of friends. Three brothers preceded him in death. Pallbearers were Kenneth Peterson, Wesley Peterson, Vernon Peterson, Stanley Oquist, Gerald Stauber and Donald Anderson. Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery.
