Ane, Anna Olesdatter (Olsen) was born November 8, 1849, the fourth child of Ole and Else Marie (Pedersdatter) Kristensen. She was christened on December 26, 1849 in Klitten, Asdal Parrish, Hjorring, Denmark. She was confirmed at this same church in 1864 at the age of 15. Anna emigrated from Klitten,Asdal,Hjorring, Denmark to the USA in 1869 at the age of 19. She arrived in the USA on March 17, 1869. She was married to Christian Johnson on August 16, 1870 in Nebraska City, Otoe Co., Nebraska, USA. Anna became a naturalized citizen in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska, in 1871 at the age of 22. Anna and her family lived in Riverton, Iowa and Nebraska City, Nebr. After her husband's death, she resided in Shenandoah, Iowa (with her son, Ole Johnson) and then moved to Los Angeles, California, to be near her two daughters (Beulah Whittaker and Lulu Vandergrift).

Anna and Christian had 10 children, 7 lived to adulthood:
Ezra Johnson, Fred Johnson, John F. Johnson, Ole Johnson, Arthur Johnson, Beulah Whittaker and Lulu May Vandegrift.

Anna died [in 1920?] at the age of [71?], in Los Angeles, California.
