Hanne Olesdatter was born August 18, 1845, the daughter of Ole Kristensen and Else Marie Pedersdatter. At her birth, she had one older sister and one older brother. Following her birth, four more brothers were born and six more sisters.

On December 28, 1862, Hanne (age 19) married Soren Peter Nielsen (age 22)at the Asdal Kirke, Hjorring, Denmark. They made their home in Heden,Asdal. The Danish Census of 1890 lists them as "House 11." This was not far from the place Hanne grew up. Her husband is listed as a "small holder" which means he rented land. He is also recorded as a carpenter.

They had two sons: Niels Christian Nielsen and Ole Christian Nielsen and one daughter, Inger Marie Nielsen Thomsen. On September 8, 1916, the Queen of Denmark appropriated the name "Klitholm" to Niels and also to his brother, Ole. Their descendants have the name Klitholm.

Hanne died on May 31, 1928, at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 21 days. She and her husband are buried at the cemetery adjacent to the Asdal church.
