M. S. Palmer

M. S. Palmer who passed away peacefully at his home in Fairfield, early Monday morning was interred in the Fairfield cemetery Tuesday, Nov. 25.

Mr. Palmer had been in poor health for several years but was stricken with the fatal illness about four weeks ago. All members of the family were present when the end came except one son who lives in Montana and one daughter who lives in California.

The funeral services were held from the Christian church at two o'clock p.m. Rev. Williams, the pastor, preached the sermon taking as his text 1 Cor. 2:9.

The music was by a quartet consisting of Messrs Cornelison and Morris, Mrs. T. P. Shively snd Miss Nettie Criley.

Marion Stanton Palmer was born in Knox county, Ills. Jan. 1, 1843 and died in Fairfield, Neb. Nov. 25, 1907. He was married to Miss Harriet Turner at Monmouth, Ills. Sept. 1, 1864 to this union were born 12 children, 9 of whom are living

Mr. Palmer united with the Christian church in 1868 and has been actively identified with all of the work of the church since that time.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
