She first married William Jasper "Jack" Shaw and had two daughters, Mable Russell who married Kenneth W. Burke and Emily Frances who married Thomas Napolean Boston; she had 7 grandchildren, David and Paul Burke and JoAnn, Thomas William, James Russell, Mary Kathleen and Winston Jasper Boston. She also had several great-grandchildren. After divorce from Jack Shaw, she married briefly J.C. Treadway.
