Walker was the son of Francis Marion and Emma Jane Davis Wylie. Siblings were Samuel Emmett, Henry Wade, Edward Ernest, Elma Sigman, Davis Green Wylie, Mary Jane Burton Wylie Reed, Vergie Leona Wylie Starks and Ida Winston Wylie Shaw Treadway. He was married to Lula Bell Dawkins Wylie and they had one son, Henry Talbert "Dick" Wylie, born Nov 11,1913 and died Oct 30,1966. They had two grandsons, Thurston and Marion "Buddy" Wylie.
