Graveside services were at Silverton Cemetery with Myers-Chancellor Funeral Homes of Silverton handling arrangements.

On 6 Jun 1958, Melba marred Bill Jack Williamson in Silverton.

According to her obituary, Melba loved gardening, reading, travel and her family. The obit notes that Melba worked as a real estate broker, bookkeeper, and substitute teacher.

Melba was preceded in death by her father and brother (Truman).

The obituary lists the following survivors: Melba's husband, Jack; her son, Mark, and his wife, Kim, of Minot, N.D.; daughters, Susan Williamson and husband Rob Franklin of Seminole, Carol Wilkinson and husband Scot of Denton, and Jackie Williamson and husband Blake Smith of Azle.
