Goldie Wallen was born March 20, 1924 and departed this life Monday, July 5, 2010 reaching the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Winfrey and Helen (Sullivan) Neal.
She is survived by: 1 daughter, Brenda Neal; 1 son, Darrell Wallen; 1 sister, Susie Weston; and 1 grandson, Dewayne Denney; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Winfrey and Helen Neal, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Wallen; 1 son, Kenneth Wallen; 4 brothers, Vester, Homer, Arlin, and Osbie Neal; and 3 sisters, Virgie Wallen, Elba Hancock, and Frances Barnes.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 3 pm at the Cabell Grove Church Cemetery with Bro. David Bowlin officiating with burial to follow
