HOMER O. NEAL was born September 6, 1916 and departed this life April 9, 2005 reaching the age of 88 years. He was the son of Winfrey Neal and Helen Sullivan Neal.
He was united in marriage to Mary Acrey Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Neal; fours sons, Donnie Neal, Paul Neal, and Lee Marcum all of Greenfield, IN and Ken Marcum of California; three daughters Louise Curtis of Indianapolis, IN, Betty Spangler of Monticello, KY, Kathy Forge of Kokomo, IN; several grandchildren, Monty Curtis, Scott Curtis, Tony Curtis, Kim Nethercott, Lisa Couch, Todd Marcum, Tracy Neal, Gary Neal, Shelley Sebesky, and Jack Roberts; several great grandchildren, Paige Curtis, Andy Curtis, Cole Curtis, Cameron Curtis, David Couch, Andrew Couch, Conner Marcum, Kara Neal and Brendon Neal.
He is also survived by one brother, Arlin Neal of Monticello, KY; and two sisters, Susie Weston and Goldie Wallen both of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfrey and Helen Sullivan; three sons, Raymond Marcum, Rick Neal and Jerry Neal; one daughter, Darlene Neal; and two grandchildren, Brandi Neal and Holli Neal. He was also preceded by two brothers, Vester Neal and Osby Neal; three sister, Virgie Wallen, Elba Hancock, and Frances Barnes.
He retired from Guide Lamp of Anderson, IN after 33 years of employment.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
