IRISH-Jack E. Irish, Sr. . of 345 North 52nd St., Springfield, died March 12, 1985, at the age of 71.
Jack Earl Irish was born October 4, 1912, at Marcola. He had been a lifetime resident of the community and had received his education at Marcola, and then worked in the woods most of his lifetime. He worked as a cutter for Weyerhaeuser Co., Fisher Lumber Co. and Georgia Pacific until his retirement. Surviving are a son, Jack E. Irish, Jr. of Marcola; daughters Leora Grosser of Dexter, and Joan Hedger of Oregon City; 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 1985, at 2 p.m. in the MAJOR-FREDERICKSEN SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME with pastor R. C. King of the Marcola Community Church officiating. Private cremation to follow.
